Handmade Necklaces by the Women
in the Acholi Quarter in Uganda

Displaced by the war and continued unrest, the Acholi Tribe has established a village near Kampala. Removed from their native land, the sole work of the Tribe is in a nearby quarry. Those that are unable to meet the physical demands on the quarry, earn money by creating beads of recycled paper and making beautiful jewelry. Your support in purchasing a necklace helps to sustain the village and provide educational opportunities for the children.
